Loam Hopes To Produce Fertile Church Plant

At Northern Community we have a commitment to planting new congregations that will connect with the diverse people that make up the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. In the past seven years we have embarked on a journey that has seen us establish congregations that meet in a café, a pub, a home, a retirement village, around tables for a meal, a spirituality chapel and a church auditorium. We see ourselves as one church with many congregations. Our congregations hold in common: vision, core values, spiritual disciplines and our mantra of being the hands and feet of Jesus in the Northern suburbs. Loam is our newest congregation at Northern and meets twice a week. Once for worship on a Wednesday night in a house of one of the members, and again as a Missional Team to host a Community Dinner on Sunday evenings. It is called Loam to indicate rich fertile soil.
