Jesus went as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching that place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." (Luke 22:39-40) Amongst the busyness, the stress, the impending moment of destiny for Jesus and for us, he stops to pray. In the pressure cooker of the Passion week, his deeply cultivated habit of communion with the Father guides him into honest prayer: Take this cup from me. The pressure of this moment appears too great. You - who can do the impossible - must surely be able to find another way?
