Youth Touched By Cambodian Journey

Working for Youth Vision WA and Global Mission Partners (WA) gives me the perfect excuse to be involved in “Youth Mission Trips”. My passion is the development of “Missionthinx” - a missions discipleship programme designed to maximize the experience young people gain on a short term mission exposure trip. I want to extend the experience from just a two week ‘trip’, to a six month long discipleship experience that includes Bible study, group experiences, a home based missions experience and an overseas mission experience as well. As part of all this I was involved in this recent trip in which six of us from two churches in Perth spent eleven days in Cambodia consisting of three different encounters. We started helping out with the work of Hagar International. Hagar have recently been donated a massive factory from Nestle. It has a forklift, all the milk production equipment needed for Hagar’s soya project, and heaps of floor space for all their craft and design programmes.
