| I was searching through an old trunk the other day; one that I had not looked in since our arrival in Tasmania in 1993. The exercise proved most interesting, for the trunk contained much memorabilia. Old theatre programmes from the nineteen sixties, school mementos from the forties and fifties, and, alongside many other items, some small pieces of unfinished tapestries, cross-stitch, and other needlework. Who were the architects of these unfinished creations Iím not quite sure. At least two of my daughters did needlework as teenagers, and my wife is very good at it, indeed. I also, on occasion, enjoy making tapestries, but I donít remember the scraps which I found in the trunk.
