There are some books that cause the reader to think carefully and reflect on the circumstances of others and their own response to what they are reading. Somaly Mamís autobiography, The Road of Lost Innocence, is one of those books. Somaly tells the story of her life. Her growing years were during the reign of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. She was born in a simple forest village community where life was focused on meeting immediate needs. She writes of this time with joy and a light spirit.
